The 2011/12 TLAA Aurora State Race Walk Championships will be held in Launceston on the 11th of February 2012, in conjunction with the Multi Event Championships. Athletes wishing to gain automatic walks entry must have achieved the qualifying standard twice during the season (a supplementary entry may be made if only 1 has been achieved). There are no qualifying standards for Multi's. Entry forms for the Walks & Multis are at the registration desk and in the age group folders, and must be lodged at CLAC by Sat January 28th. For athletes still searching for a first or second qualifier, our Centre Walks Championships on Saturday are your last chance! Good luck & dont miss the deadline!!! |

Clarence athletes turned out in force at the Southern All State meet at the Domain on Sunday. The weather was lovely, heaps of our athletes recorded PB's & qualifiers, and 8 new outside records were broken. Congratulations to Alex Bessell (400m), Jessica Minifie (1100m walk), Tom Murrell (triple jump), Callan Sutcliffe (javelin, long jump & high jump), Laura Maksimovic (high jump) & Caitlin Stalker (Javelin) on their new records. Results are posted in the results section, and outside records are updated. |

Our Centre Championships continue this Saturday with the Walk's. For all Championship events, Clarence athletes must have competed in the event twice at little athletics during the season, one of which must have been at a CLAC meet. Athletes must be in full & correct uniform - and that includes PLAIN black shorts, and must have their 25 events badge attached to the shirt. Championship events continue on the 5th of Feb (1500's), and the 18th of Feb, 25th of Feb & 3rd of March for the balance of events. |

Congratualtions to Alex Bessell & Hannah Harrison who broke their own U15 800m records in the Centre Chamionship events on Wednesday night. |

Zac Buick & Matthew Hosie competed in the Tasmanian Under 14 State team on Saturday night at the Hunter Classic in Newcastle. The boys led Tasmania to a win in the Boys challenge, defeating the ACT and 5 strong NSW regional teams. Well done lads! |
