Clarence athletes selected for SSA Exchange

Congratulations to Jane Hickey & Angus Murrell who have been selected to represent Tasmania at the School Sport Australia Track & Field exchange championships in Adelaide next November. This is the pinnacle event for Primary school aged athletes in Australia and an enormous opportunity for Jane & Angus!

Aurora Energy State Individual Championships

Congratulations to all our athletes, helpers & officials who participated in a highly successful 2012 Aurora State Individual Championships for 2012 over the March long weekend. There were several outstanding performances, headlined by Zac Buick's new U14 boys State Record in the Long Jump, Netty Garlo's 9 medals in the U10 girls, including 4 gold and 4 outside records, Matt Hosie's 8 medals including 3 gold in the U14 boys, Caitlin Stalker's 3 gold including 3 outside records in the U15 girls, Andre Witek & Alex Bessell's respective wins and outside records in the 800m & 1500m in the U14 & U15 boys, and Tom McCallum's 8 medals including 1 gold in the U8 Boys. All up, a haul of 54 medals including 20 gold, and 17 new or equalled outside records from our athletes - our best result for many years. Roll on 2012/13!
