With the Athlete’s choice event happening on Saturday at least 3 of our Athletes chose the correct events for them with 3 new records being set. Congratulations to William Robertson, Nate Howcroft and Palepa Leauma on setting new records in their respective events. Add to this a large number of PBs and a lot of smiling faces I believe the event was a great success.
We had two under 11 records broken on Thursday night with Brendan Cook breaking the long jump record and Archie Devine breaking the Discus record. Congratulations on your efforts.
Congratulations to Nate Howcroft from breaking the under 12 boys Shot Put record last night and Palepa Leauma for setting a new under 9 girls record in the 400 meters. Great performances by both athletes.
Congratulations to Luke Palmer and Isaac Dixon for setting new records on Saturday. Luke smashing it out on the track with a new 800 mtr record and Isaac creeping ever closer to a 30 mtr throw on with the discus. Fantastic performances yet again by these two young men.
Well we are already two meets into the New Year and records continue to fall.
Saturday saw Jessica Bray set a new Under 13 Girls 200 mtr Hurdles record. With Wednesday’s twilight meet saw 5 new records set by the boys with Archie Devine, William Robertson, Xavier Connor, Darcy Noonan and Luke Palmer all set new marks. Luke yet again breaking a record that was over 30 years old. Congratulations to all of our record breaking athletes on such a great start to 2019.
A shout out to Santa who made time to drop in and visit us at the Domain on Saturday morning, that small sugar hit may have been enough to help 3 of our CLAC boys set new marks on the track and in the pit. Congratulations to Isaac Dixon, Luke Palmer and Xavier Connor who all set new records.
